I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and let me tell you…it has not been the easiest. And that’s mostly due to the lack of sleep. Most nights I wake up by 1am and have a hard time falling back asleep. So not only does it make daily tasks a little harder, but it makes meal prep and planning ahead just a tad more complicated. One day I have it completely together and can plan out all my meals and snacks for the day, then the next day I can barely figure out my name, let alone plan a meal for me and my husband. But luckily I have Daily Harvest to get me through the days when my brain turns off and I barely have energy to stand in the shower. Yes, sometimes I have to sit in the shower simply because of sleep deprivation. Pregnancy is a wild ride.

One of my main staples during pregnancy has been Daily Harvest smoothies. They have tons of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables in every cup, and I can easily add protein or collagen to help my smoothie go even farther. On the days when I couldn’t imagine using a pan or chopping anything up, a smoothie saved me. And now I use them as a snack since I need all my snacks and meals to have plenty of nutrients in them to keep me satiated and the little babe happy and growing. But since Daily Harvest recently launched their Harvest Bakes, I now have lunches and dinners covered when I’m short on time or energy!

The new Harvest Bakes come in 4 different options:

And the best part about these Harvest Bakes is that they include no prep whatsoever!! All you have to do is open the package, put it in the oven, and bake for 22-27 minutes. That’s it! Mix, eat, and enjoy! You get all the added health benefits without the work! No dishes, no mess, no work! Plus all the packaging is recyclable! Out of all four, my favorite is the Gigante Bean + Artichoke Olio. It reminds me of spinach and artichoke dip, but with the added bonus of extra fiber from the beans! I like to top mine with crispy chicken thighs that I cooked in the oven alongside the Harvest Bake! They are perfect for dinner or to share with others – larger portion size, and even more protein and fiber.

If you’re completely new to Daily Harvest, here’s the quick rundown! You get delicious food delivered to your doorstep and all you have to do is put everything in your freezer until it’s time to eat. They have Smoothies and Oat Bowls for easy breakfasts, Harvest Bowls and Soups for quick lunches, and Bites and Scoops for nutritious snacks. And all of their collections are gluten-free, dairy-free, plant-based, and have no gums, fillers, refined sugar, or preservatives. Daily Harvest makes it easy to get plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables since all of their produce is frozen at peak ripeness. More fruits and veggies means a stronger immune system and more energy throughout the day. And those two things are more important than ever for me right now. I want to stay as healthy as possible throughout this pregnancy and get any extra energy I can through food to fuel my work days, workouts, and keep my stress levels low!
